This project for Growmark involved the demolition of their existing Dry Fertilizer Blend Plant at the Sangerfield, NY location and the construction of a brand new 5,000-ton Dry Fertilizer Blending and Distribution Facility. The new facility significantly increased storage and operational capacity while modernizing blending and distribution capabilities.
The project presented several challenges, including maintaining owner operations and logistics during construction, coordinating multiple utility relocations, and integrating the new facility with a newly constructed railroad siding. Additionally, the structure was built around an existing blending tower, which was retrofitted as part of the project to ensure continued operational efficiency.
