Growmark FS, LLC Plant Upgrade – Renovation & Addition (Design-Build)

Coplay, PA

8,670 SF

Growmark FS required upgrades to its agricultural processing facility in Coplay, Pennsylvania to improve operational efficiency, expand storage capacity, and accommodate new blending equipment. The project included a design-build renovation and building addition within an active plant environment. Centurion Construction Group collaborated early with the client and civil, structural, and electrical design partners to provide preconstruction services including estimating, scheduling, and value engineering to align the design with operational needs and budget goals.

Construction within the operational facility required careful coordination to maintain plant operations. Centurion phased demolition, structural upgrades, and new construction to minimize disruption while integrating new processing infrastructure. The completed improvements modernize the facility, expand storage capacity, and support enhanced blending and material handling capabilities for long-term operations.

Scope of Work:

  • Renovation and structural upgrades to an existing agricultural processing plant, including selective demolition and replacement of more than 3,000 square feet of concrete flooring
  • Construction of a truck dump pit, deep concrete foundations, new bin walls, movable bin doors, and structural supports to increase storage and material handling capacity
  • Construction of a 1,999-square-foot building addition to house blending equipment, along with roof reinforcement, a new shingle roof system, conveyor enclosure, and catwalk installation
